Main Camp Themes (Ages 3-6)

1/2 Day dedicated to Montessori Work Cycle and 1/2 dedicated to Theme Week

Week 1: Dr. Suess Week

Each day, campers will embark on a new literary adventure with beloved characters inspired by our favorite Dr. Seuss’ books. They will practice pre-literacy skills by having some fun with rhyming, games, art, pretend play and a lot of silly fun.

Week 2: Art Rocks

Kids have fun combining music and art to create instruments, posters, artwork and creativity. This camp will inspire kids to reach beyond their imagination and create art that is unique to them. By doing so, kids feel empowered to be creative and expressive. It’s amazing to see just what kids design when given the freedom to explore and to express themselves creatively! Imaginations soar!

Week 3: Zoo Animals

Explore the zoo, experience nature, and discover the excitement and wonder of animals!

Week 4: Little Chefs

Perfect for small chefs to learn kitchen safety, teamwork, and how to get organized. They will cook, bake and improvise their way to a new feeling of confidence.

Week 5: Solar System

Campers will learn about the stars, planets, comets and more! A wonderful universe awaits them on their galactic adventure.

Week 6: Under the Sea

Dip your toes in the sea, explore the depths of the ocean, make friends with a squid and cuddle an octopus…without even getting wet or jumping into the water!

Week 7: Color, Shapes and Sizes

The world is a beautiful rainbow! These young campers will jump into the rainbow and experience all the different colors, shapes and sizes around us! Let’s use our imagination and make a beautiful world.

Week 8: When I Grow Up…

What do you want to be when you grow up? A teacher, doctor, dentist, scientist, lawyer, astronaut, explorer, engineer, singer, dancer, farmer or chef? Shoot for the stars and become what you dream of. Campers will have fun dressing up in professions of their choice. Through play, books, art and music, our young campers will learn about so many professions.

Primary Spanish Immersion (Ages 3-6)

Weeks 1-8: Spanish Immersion

Each of the 8 weeks will focus on a Spanish Country that the children will explore! They will learn about the different countries culture, food, they will cook and do art that is part of that country, they will also speak only Spanish in this classroom. Campers will learn about art, cooking, hiking, while immersed in the Spanish language. They will begin to learn and use conversational Spanish.

Primary STEM Camp (Ages 3-6)

Week 1: Art and Science

Using art and science together to create fun experiments. Volcano making, bubble exploration, dancing rice, baking soda paint and MUCH MORE!

Week 2: STEM and Dr. Seuss

What do you get when you mix STEM with Dr. Seuss? A world of possibilities! We combine the art of science, technology, engineering and mathematics alongside world-famous rhymes and stories. One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish! Let’s get down to problem-solving.

Week 3: STEM All Around US

Campers will set out on a pretend “shopping spree” while learning to differentiate coins and recall their values. The group will be introduced to robotics and learn how to create their own robot! (This camp is an Endeavor Montessori original and is not created by Launch)

Week 4: Science of Making

From highways to bridges, nearly every aspect of our lives is impacted by the structures we use. Students learn the basics of how structures are made through a series of fun and exciting hands-on activities that are designed especially for this age group. Students will see the world in a whole new way as they gain an understanding of how structures around them are made. They will also get chance to construct items, such as paper buildings, mini bots and spinning helicopters, as they become the engineers of tomorrow!

Week 6: Introduction to Coding

This is the class for any kid who has ever played a video game or watched a cartoon and wondered how they were made. We introduce students to Scratch, a coding language created by MIT that is designed to help kids learn how to code. This class combines technology and creativity as kids learn the basics of coding and how to apply their knowledge to make video games and animations. The more they learn, the more details and effects they can add, which makes them want to learn more. This is a class for the beginner coder and no previous experience is necessary.

Week 7: Calculate the Possibilities

We take math off the page and put it where it exists – everywhere! Children learn the wonders of mathematics is a part of everything from science and engineering to music and sports. They also get to learn about fascinating mathematical concepts through interactive activities and group projects, such as learning about patterns and probability by creating a Pascal’s triangle, and about geometry by creating möbius strips. Through this module, students gain insight into how math is applied everywhere.

Week 8: Science of Building

The second part of our exploration into how things are built gives students more opportunities to create and construct! Students learn more about how science impacts the design of the world around us through more interactive and group activities, such as how bungee physics determine the design of bridges and buoyancy keeps boats afloat. Students learn by creating and constructing, which, which makes learning exciting.

Elementary STEM Camp (Ages 7-12)

Week 1: Art and Science

Using art and science together to create fun experiments. Volcano making, bubble exploration, dancing rice, baking soda paint and MUCH MORE!

Week 2: Power Tool Power

A guided camp that teaches children how to properly handle power tools and use them to make something wonderful. Campers will strengthen their hand-eye coordination, while being active and creative. Instructors are there to aid in technique and safety as the children focus on a new skill.

Week 3: STEM All Around US

Campers will set out on a pretend “shopping spree” while learning to differentiate coins and recall their values. The group will be introduced to robotics and learn how to create their own robot! (This camp is an Endeavor Montessori original and is not created by Launch)

Week 4: Construction!

Calling all girls and boys, inventors, builders and designers! Come and build some awesome creations. We will create our own designs, learn communication, problem solving, reasoning, developing creativity and teamwork! (This camp is an Endeavor Montessori original and is not created by Launch)

Week 5: Introduction to Coding

This is the class for any kid who has ever played a video game or watched a cartoon and wondered how they were made. We introduce students to Scratch, a coding language created by MIT that is designed to help kids learn how to code. This class combines technology and creativity as kids learn the basics of coding and how to apply their knowledge to make video games and animations. The more they learn, the more details and effects they can add, which makes them want to learn more. This is a class for the beginner coder and no previous experience is necessary.

Week 6: Compute to Win

We show students how numbers work in different areas, such as games, puzzles, and even art! Through individual lessons and group activities, we ponder math riddles, figure out number puzzles, and explore math-inspired art. This is a fun and interactive way to dig deep into the world of math. In this module, students don’t labor over math problems. Instead, they explore math possibilities.

Week 7: Science and Engineering in Action

Now it’s time to put some of our learning into action! Using everyday items that can be found around the house, students participate in activities and group projects that allow them to create and construct objects that demonstrate scientific principles. This might include a miniature zipline to represent gravity and fraction, or a catapult to represent kinetic energy. Daily lessons also include an array of other activities, such as scientific demonstrations, virtual field trips, team-based gaming, and more.

Week 8: Captivate and Accelerate

Students continue applying every aspect of STEM to take their building skills to the next level! Through games and group projects that spark their imagination and sharpen their critical thinking skills, this module shows students what they can do when they have the power of STEM. Examples of the activities we do include constructing mega marble runs and testing marshmallow structures in an earthquake simulator. This module challenges and captivates young minds and lets them see what they can accomplish with STEM.
