Director of Education

LeAndre’s (Lee) educational background consists of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education, Master of Arts Advanced Certificate in Disability Studies, Montessori Primary credential and Infant & Toddler Montessori trained. She is also dually licensed as a New York State teacher for birth-grade 2 and K-grade 6, a licensed Georgia teacher Pre-kindergarten to fifth grade and a certified Bright from the Start Georgia State Trainer. She is a life-long learner and her future goals are to complete her doctorate studies in cognitive psychology. LeAndre’s professional goals are to” pay it forward” by offering her expertise, educational and career experiences to teachers and programs for future generations.

Lee began working as an infant/toddler assistant teacher thirty years ago and has worked with all ages, birth to adult-learners. Lee believes every child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating learning environment in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially. As her education advanced and she gained hands-on work experience, she wore many hats as; Lead Teacher, Assistant Director, Head of School, Director and Regional Director for many programs both in New York and Georgia. Her research interests are brain development and motivation, disability advocacy and domestic violence prevention.

Giving back is extremely important to Lee and she volunteers as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and Women Support Facilitator for women of Domestic Violence.

After relocating to Georgia from New York City with her four children Raymond Jr., Rai, LeAndre C., and LeiAnn seven years ago, she pursued consultant work with a variety of childcare programs. In her free time LeAndre enjoys African-dance, golf, riding motorcycles, nature walks, reading, spending time with family and friends and traveling.
